  • Metal, Plastic, and Cartons: These can be collected together but must be separated from other waste types.
  • Unsold Textiles: Must be collected separately.
  • Unsold Small Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (sWEEE): Must be separated.

Bans on Disposal:

  • Food Waste: Cannot be disposed of via sewers.
  • Separately Collected Waste: Cannot be sent to incineration or landfill.
  • Wood Waste: Banned from landfill entirely.

Compliance and Enforcement:

  • Regulation: Natural Resources Wales (NRW) will oversee compliance, while local authorities will enforce the ban on disposing of food waste to sewers.
  • Penalties: Non-compliance can result in fines for the offending workplaces.
