Eugene Bryce is a seasoned Energy and Carbon Manager with over 27 years of technical and commercial experience in the energy sector. As the Director and Senior Energy Management Engineer at Bryce Energy Services Ltd., Eugene specializes in helping businesses develop practical and achievable net-zero plans based on comprehensive technical and commercial analysis, ensuring measurable return on investment.
His expertise spans various areas, including utilities energy management, carbon footprint evaluation, and commercial energy contracts. Eugene has extensive experience in implementing energy management systems aligned with ISO 50001, conducting feasibility studies for renewable energy projects (such as heat pumps, solar, wind, and EV charging stations), and developing carbon offsetting strategies. His work is grounded in a deep understanding of both the technical and financial aspects of energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives.
Eugene’s career includes roles with prominent organizations such as The Energy Check, Gridpower, Freedom Group, Balfour Beatty Engineering Services, Siemens Transmission & Distribution, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Rolls Royce/VA Tech Reyrolle. He has managed a wide range of projects, from the replacement and upgrading of electrical substations to developing sophisticated SCADA systems for distribution networks in international markets.
At Bryce Energy Services Ltd., Eugene has delivered several successful projects, including a £2 million feasibility report for heat pump installations, solar farm planning, and multiple business energy efficiency reviews. He has also provided training and technical workshops to various councils and organizations, enhancing their capabilities in energy management and carbon neutrality planning.
Eugene holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), and the Energy Institute (MEI). His extensive background in project management and technical engineering enables him to guide organizations toward sustainable energy practices while maintaining commercial viability.
