3 Simple Steps to Your Vehicle Carbon Footprint…

  1. Enter the Type of Vehicle – Car, Van, or HGV.
  2. Enter the size of the Vehicle – Small, Medium, or Large.
  3. Enter the Transmission type – ICE, Hybrid or Electric.

Based on the typical percentages of materials by weight, in each type of vehicle, the production energy required, and the waste disposal, the calculator estimates the carbon footprint of a new vehicle.

If you know the weight of the vehicle itself (unloaded weight) find the closest for the vehicle type and use the adjustment scale to fine tune to your actual vehicle weight.

Remember, this is the ‘New’ vehicle carbon footprint (Scope 3, Capital Purchase), this does not include the required fuel to move the vehicle anywhere! See our main carbon calculator for fuel and transport related emissions.
